Kathleen's Story

Kathleen Featherston, author
Author & Advocate

In 2021, Kathleen Featherston received a diagnosis that would change her life forever — Parkinson's Disease. Rather than withdraw in fear and uncertainty, she chose to meet life with the optimism and humor that defines her: keep looking up and be careful not to trip!

She laced up her boxing gloves — literally — discovering that physical movement could be both medicine and metaphor. Each punch thrown, each round survived, was a declaration: “I am still here. I am still fighting. I am still full of joy.”

From that spirit, this book was born. Not a clinical guide. Not a sympathy card. But a companion — a tiny book full of enormous light, for anyone who needs a reminder that joy waits in the small moments.
